John McDonough's Pumpernickel Puppets
The kindergarten classes attended a puppet performance of The Three Billy Goats Gruff and The Lion and the Mouse. The show included a cast of colorful puppet characters, audience participation, live voices and sound effects. The fast paced scripts not only entertained but also stimulated the children's imagination and creativity. A demonstration followed the performances, giving the students some insight into what happens behind the scenes and an up-close look at some of the puppets. John encouraged the students to use their own stuffed animals and toys to put on their own puppet show at home!
