PTO Board Members
Marianne McGarrity
Co-president (term ends 2024)
This is my 4th year on the PTO and my last year at Brown School as my son Jamie is a 4th grader. I also have a 7th grader at Kennedy. I’m happy to answer PTO questions anytime from anyone interested in helping out! I joined because I enjoy helping at events and the feeling of community at Brown School. Thank you in advance to each and every family who supports our efforts throughout the school year!
Sarah McNeeley
Co-president (term ends 2025)
Sarah and her husband, Paul, have three daughters: Abby (4th grade), Olivia (2nd grade), and Evie (almost 3 years old and a future Brown Bear). She has been involved with the PTO since her oldest was in kindergarten. This is her first year as PTO Co-President.
“I joined the PTO to get involved at Brown, to help plan and execute fun events that help strengthen our Brown Bear community, and to help raise money for our school, students, teachers and support staff so that they all have the resources they need to succeed.
I'm really looking forward to a great school year for all of our kiddos filled with lots of learning and fun and to connecting with many of you this year!”

Kids ages and grades: Nilay (6yr old - 1st Grade) & Keshav (3 year old)
Being an immigrant (from India), I would love to be involved in the school community and help my children thrive in this environment. I joined PTO to socialize, learn and share ideas with other parents and teachers to help build a stronger community for our children. This is my second year in the PTO and looking forward to organizing fun events for kids and the parents

I live on Braemore street with my husband Kai and 5 year old son Orion. Orion is a proud new Brown bear, going to attend Kindergarten class this fall. As a first generation immigrant, I did most of my education outside US, joining PTO would give me a chance to live through US education system with my son, as well as to build a deeper bonding with the community and add values to the local neighborhood. Looking forward for upcoming exciting events!

My son, Zavian, is beginning Kindergarten!
I'm excited to start our journey at Brown, looking forward to the new and continued friendships, as well as watching the wonderful things my sweet boy will learn as he continues to take my breath away and grow too quickly!

My husband Curtis and I have a son Malachi (5) who will be in Kindergarten this year at Brown. I am excited to join the PTO as I think it will be a great way to connect and get to know the Brown community while helping to support the school. My hope is that being involved will not only help support our school, students/families, and teachers - but also help our family make genuine connections that will help my son thrive in his new school. I am looking forward to meeting other families in the Brown community, helping with all of the fun events that are scheduled for this year, and having fun working with the other members of the PTO to make this a great school year!

I'm a parent of a 2nd grader here at Brown. I really want our children's experiences here at Brown to be memorable and rewarding. This is why I'm on the PTO and why I make myself available whenever I can. I look forward to another great year at Brown, filled with fun, laughter, and lots of learning.

I have a fourth grader and a kindergartener, so it’s a year of firsts and lasts for us! I wanted to be more involved with the PTO because I think Brown is amazing and want to be as supportive and involved as I can.
